Additional Information
The national identification number is called the ID Number.  It is a
13-digit number, made up as follows:

Digits 1-6: Birthdate (yymmdd)
Digits 7-10: Gender indicator (>= 5000 implies male, < 5000
implies female)
Digits 12-13: Control digits
Digit 13: Modulo-10 checksum digit

The display format for the South African identification number is four
groups separated by spaces, containing six, four, two, and one digits
respectively.  For example, the identification number 6412180085087 would be
displayed or printed as 641218 0085 08 7.
